"Wait for it", I said, helping my daughter hold the pole, "okay, now reel it in".
It took her two or three minutes of intense tugging, and then the fish (which you see above in the photo), was flung into the boat. The admiration of all the fishermen in the cay was thrust upon this youth, who had never fished before in her life. She made an exception this day to please her father. On the shore, people lined up 15 deep to take this photo. There was something about this young girl that charmed everybody, including the fish. And she went on to be a master angler.
